Book Review: The Smoke That Thunders By Erhu Kome

This debut novel by Erhu Kome is incredible! It was well written, and the adventures just don’t stop. As soon as is one done, the next is right on their heels.

I loved following Naborhi on her adventures. I really enjoyed the journey she went on, and her internal dialogue.

The book was an easy read, you could fully understand the experiences the characters went through.

The patriarchal scene served to set the tone of the journey Naborhi was on and it really showed her bravery. If you like books based on West African mythology, quests, chosen ones, and girls who are not afraid to fully be themselves, then I recommend you try this one.
